The service
AlmostCanadian.ca offers practice tests for the Canadian citizenship test and for the Quebec democratic values assessment. The site is operated by AlmostCanadian, a British Columbia (Canada) business.
AlmostCanadian is an independent website, not affiliated with the Government of Canada, IRCC or the Government of Quebec. Our questions are written from the official guide, Discover Canada: they are not the exam questions, and passing our tests does not guarantee that you will pass the exam.
By using the site, you accept these terms.
The free test
The free 20-question test needs no account. Your result is kept in your browser, then linked to your account if you create one.
Full access
Full access costs $10 CAD for 30 days, or $20 CAD for 3 months (90 days), paid once, starting from the payment. The price shown is the total you pay.
Nothing renews automatically. A new purchase adds its duration to the end of your current access.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. A receipt is emailed to you.
Pass or your money back
If you fail the Canadian citizenship test, or the Quebec democratic values assessment, after practising with full access, we refund your last purchase ($10 or $20).
To qualify: your exam took place during your full access or within 30 days after it ended; before the exam, you completed at least 3 full practice tests with full access (3 Quebec tests for the Quebec assessment); and you write to us within 60 days of your result.
Email hello@almostcanadian.ca from your account's email address, with a copy of your result notice (email or letter from IRCC, or from Quebec's Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration). You may hide everything except your name, the exam date and the result.
The refund goes to the card used for the purchase, within 10 business days of the check. It is granted once per person and ends your full access.

Your account
You log in with a link sent to your email, without a password. You are responsible for access to your mailbox.
Your access is personal: do not share it.
The content
The questions, explanations and summaries are written by us. They are for your personal use: do not copy or resell them.
We do our best to keep everything accurate and up to date, but mistakes can happen: the official guide prevails. If you spot one, please write to us.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
We may change these terms; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version. The terms in force when you buy apply to that purchase.
